"Check out this old lady! The siiiiiiiight!" Best scene of the short, specially for the acting.
Never actually played any fallout so no much idea of what's going on, but the whole short makes sense even without prior knowledge.
Amazing sound.
So hell yea, I love this.

I kinda like the girl's expressions on this one, specially when she looks behind her at 0:32. Great job as always. The shading just keeps gettiing better!

Man, this just keeps getting better and better! The shadows look kinda like pencil, which is awesome for the enviroment. The new models are much better without changing the feel of the series, you can watch part 3 and 4 and it still feels like part of the same thing. What can I say, you nailed it again. The fight at the beggining was cowboy bebop quality, I love close quarters combat, the closer the better.
Sound design has been upgraded as well. Story is as amazing as ever, interesting, and satisfying, didn't feel too short nor too long.
And again you did this in so little time, don't wanna go fanboy on this, but it gets better ebery episode.

I like this style, really, the sound effects are nice as well, bit overused to some, but I can take it.
The theme is kinda sorta overused, it's not the first time we've heard this, people are not honet, there you go, bam. You did owever, put your twist on it, so yeah, nice work overall.

FrameFreak2D responds:

Thanks for your input Kehny :D

Hey nice timing!
I particularly like the part where he swaps weapons, and the aiming gimmick was spot on.
The lighting is amazing, and the detailed backgrounds really mix well with the cel shade, which I'm still wraping my head around. How do you make toon shaders look so damn good?

Also nice voice acting, yeh.

Kel-chan responds:

composite the image- one layer is the 3d, one layer is the shadows, and another is the painted/cel shaded look.

You can put another layer on top which makes it look like a movie but sometimes it washes out the lines

Yehp preety accurate.
"MOOOOM" hahaha.
Oh by the way, your color palete es pukeworthy, was that part of the joke?

IceBurger responds:

Yup, the messed up colors was actually the first thing that came to mind when I was making this.

Nice atmosphere.
Nice anatomy too. And the voice... oooo yeaaaa.

CartoonCoffee responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Hey, you changed the model of the glowy eye guy? Nice work.
Interesting story, people tend to rant on it, but I find it very entertaining so far.
This is your best looking video yet. You've really gotten used to the cell shading.
I like the work you've done on the new models, and the upgrade in the expressions. It's a gigantic work and it only took you 6 months, mostly because you had to wait for the long dialogues, I imagine.

Keep up the good work!

The shitty audio is reminiscent of the good old DBZ. Don't fix what isn't broken.
Animations and vfx are outstanding.

As for recoome, I think you should change the voice actor, he's just too good.

bocodamondo responds:

doesnt matter, recoome wont appear after this anymore

I don't give it a 5 because it's not perfect.
I give it a 4 because it's great for newgrounds standards.
Backgrounds look good, that's something very lacking at most 3d animations, and you did it right. Character models look sharp, however, the rig of the faces is f'ed up.
If you don't mind, let me give you some advice, I have my share of experiences with professional 3d animating.
I know everyone have been complaining about the mouth movement. But no one actually proposed a solution, so bear with me as I give it a try.
- The facial rigging. I suppose you use blend shapes to do so? If so, try to open the mouths a little more, don't be shy about it. I see you are learning and added some jaw movement. However, the jaw movement is too subtle. As a good reference, there's the guilty gear xrd expressions that appear in the overdrives. If you're looking for a more smooth yet faster way, have a look at rwby's male characters. It's a pain in the ass to redo the blend shapes, if you already did them, but the reward is instant and it shouldn't take you too much time to lip synch. The only challenge is using those in a way that doesn't look cartoony in comparison to the short's aesthetics, find a middle point
- The stiffness: Now this I totally understand, you can't deal with 9 minutes of animation without sacrificing some movement detail. Try to add acceleration, deaccelerations and recoil to movement. Too much of a hassle? Film some coreography and use it as a reference. The trick to theese kind of low budget shorts is not to avoid expensive or time consuming animations, but to find the cheap and fast way around it.
Animation wise the best acting is from the guy at the last scene. Nice job, you're getting there.
The plot: I actually find it satisfying, it feels like its going somewhere and doesn't dissapoint. Try to focus on character defelopment. Decker smoking before shooting is actually a nice detail on character traits. Keep up the good work.
I have no experience on clothing engines like that one, but I think it works for your budget, the clipping is not that distracting.

Tremendous upgrade from the last episode, which I don't get why people complain to so much.
As always the voice acting is very good.

Cheers!
